Hundreds of acres of wetlands, forests and meadows, 4.5 miles of nature trails and centuries of history have made Pemberton Historical Park a popular destination for years. Now there's another reason to stop by: Pemberton's Nature Center has opened to the public.
“I am so excited for the nature center to finally open,” said Wicomico Recreation & Parks program director Fallon Jackson. “Visitors will be able to learn about the park’s history and participate in environmental education programs.”
Renovations include installation of a woodland animal display, Russian tortoise touch tank, reptile exhibits and interactive educational displays.
The Nature Center is open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
