Pork in the ParkThe 7th Annual Pork in the Park Barbeque Festival arrives April 16th to the 18th, 2010. The KCBS BBQ Competition will be red hot this year with a record number of teams and new challenging categories! The festival offers a weekend of live music and vendors plus mouthwatering BBQ that the whole family will enjoy. Pork in the Park is held at Winterplace Park in Salisbury, Maryland on Friday from 4pm to 10pm, Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday 11am to 5pm. |
Broadway in Salisbury!The best of Broadway and live entertainment is returning to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center for the 2009-2010 season. The Broadway in Salisbury series will showcase top-quality touring Broadway productions direct from New York. The series will feature 7 spectacular events including David Copperfield (Oct. 22), Tap Dogs (Nov. 17), Rain a Beatles Tribute (Nov. 22), Hairspray (Jan. 6), Cabaret (Feb. 6), Annie (March 12) and an evening with Bill Cosby (May 9). |
Biking in Wicomico CountyCycling enthusiasts can pedal their way through Wicomico County’s lush outdoor terrain. Back roads and byways make perfect backdrops for the area’s many bike trails. Established trails range in distance to accommodate cyclists from novice to advance. Riders of all skill levels will have fun on the ‘Zippity-Zoo-Da’ nine mile loop which starts at Salisbury University and takes riders through a tour of the city. |
